TJ&Co. On Call gives CEOs, boards and senior leaders direct access to focused advice, review and practical work, at short notice. It draws on experience across not-for-profit, health, medical research and philanthropy.

No retainer. No long-term contract. No ongoing commitment. Each assignment has a clear scope, a fixed fee and an agreed delivery time. Requests submitted Monday-Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm Australian Eastern time, receive a response within 30 minutes. We confirm whether we can assist and either propose the scope, fee and delivery time or clarify the information needed.

A board paper needs refining, an important communication needs drafting or a meeting needs careful preparation. We bring experienced judgement and focused attention to work with an approaching deadline.

An important assignment is waiting because the team is already committed. Hand over a defined piece of work, such as a briefing, proposal assessment or practical plan, for us to progress or complete.

A recommendation, partnership proposal or difficult decision warrants independent scrutiny. We examine the context, test assumptions and identify what needs attention before next steps.

Straightforward to engage

Outline the request: Describe the work, the result required and the deadline. A few clear sentences are enough to begin; a formal brief or introductory meeting is not routinely required.
Agree the assignment: We confirm whether we can assist and agree the scope, fixed fee and delivery time before starting. If more context is needed, we ask for it before quoting.
Receive the work: We deliver the agreed output, with relevant assumptions and limitations made clear. A brief follow-up exchange is included for clarification. Additional work is agreed separately.

Todd Jasper leads each assignment and remains directly involved from the initial request through to delivery. His experience spans executive roles, strategy, governance, recruitment, organisational development, procurement, philanthropy and practical delivery.

Requests are received directly by Todd and treated with discretion. Begin with a brief description of the work and the result required. Please leave confidential documents and sensitive personal information out of the initial request. We agree how any necessary material will be shared and discuss additional specialist involvement before proceeding.

Practical details

Response times and delivery

We respond within 30 minutes to requests submitted Monday-Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm Australian Eastern time, following Melbourne/Sydney daylight saving. Requests received outside these hours receive a response by 9:30 am the next weekday.

The initial response confirms whether we can assist, the fixed fee and proposed delivery time, or identifies the information needed to quote accurately.

On Call is designed for focused assignments that can be completed within 24 hours of approval and receipt of the necessary information. The actual delivery deadline is agreed before starting. If more time is required, we explain this before the assignment is accepted. Weekend delivery is agreed separately.

Fees and payment

Each assignment has a fixed quote stating the total payable, including applicable GST. There is no retainer or ongoing commitment, and additional work requires approval.

Payment can be made by credit card upon completion of the work, with a Tax Invoice provided. Alternatively, a purchase order may be issued, with payment due within 14 days of the invoice date.

Organisational and personal engagements are available where appropriate. Personal payment does not change authority to share organisational information or applicable purchasing and approval requirements.
